Decorating with Mint Green

One of the trending colors this season, mint green can be quite tricky to work with. Since it is a subdued color, do not go overboard with it.  However, if used correctly, it can transform your interiors into tranquil, nature-inspired spaces! To get the maximum impact paint the walls and the ceiling the same mint color. Gold, white and beige are the perfect colors to be matched.

This color was popular back in the '50s and '60s, and has made a huge comeback once again. Because of its popularity back in the '50s, the color can be used for retro-themed rooms with vintage furniture.  Dark, polished woods provide the perfect contrast to the color. Leather upholstery helps establish the perfect vintage theme.

Inspired by lime, this color is fun to play with. Natural wood and shades of white keep the room airy, bright, and not too cold. One can also add in some drama by using different shades of green in the room. Bold colors give an edge to the room, whereas bright shades make the room cheery and lively. Vibrant shades give a pop of color to dull rooms.

Light, sheer curtains in a mint-green room are a good choice, as they add to the dreamy effect of the interiors. If you want to tone down the effect, you could use blinds instead of sheer curtains. Light colored upholstery and furniture makes the room look brighter.

Mint green is a playful, youthful, fresh, serene and lively color. It works great for kitchens, reading rooms and the kids’ rooms. It can also be combined with dark shades of plum, purple, etc. for some gorgeous bedroom schemes.

Give your homes the feel of a fresh, breezy ocean cove with this color. We at Sanskriti Lifestyle can assist you with a wide range of home accessories in mint green!

Antiques have always been fascinating. And vintage can never go out of style. Mix and match modern furniture with some vintage designs – the only rule is that there are no rules. Contrast some modern designs with vintage furniture to add depth and richness to your interiors.

An eclectic mix of old pieces stands out against sleek modern designs.  For your dining rooms, cover a vintage dining table with white linen to give a modern edge. Combine French round-back chairs, low coffee tables and printed cushions in your living rooms for a layered look. Add in a sense of history by using old trunks as tables in the reading room. An old door used as a table in the garden adds a traditional touch. This antique teak closet featured in this article adds a royal touch to your bedrooms. This closet is available at our store- Sanskriti Lifestyle, Pune.

Reusing an old chest of drawers or an old door is a great way to add the antique feel to your homes. Rustic doorknobs on rustic painted doors are an easy way to get the vintage look too. Bright colors and fresh patterns combine effortlessly with traditional and modern furniture.

A clever mix of modern and vintage gives the room a timeless appeal. One antique piece of furniture in a room can elevate everything around it. Spice up your interiors with some vintage pieces of furniture. Come take a look at some of our unique hand-crafted designs that will be the spotlight of your décor.
